DMC's Legal Right
The DMC is legally empowered to monitor, detain, and enforce the registration of any individual under suspicion of possessing metahuman abilities.
Protection & Control
The act's primary purpose is to ensure public safety by having a comprehensive list of metahuman entities and maintaining control over potential threats.
IV. ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
Privacy & Rights
While the DMC has expansive powers, it acknowledges and respects the fundamental rights of civilians. Intrusions are minimized and are always in line with national security concerns.
Transparency
Where possible, the DMC aims to provide clarity on its operations, ensuring the public understands the need for certain actions while balancing security concerns.
Non-Discrimination
Dossiers on civilians are based on concrete data and intelligence, ensuring there is no discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other biases.
IV. NEXT STEPS
While the DMC's primary focus remains on metahuman entities, recognizing the broader societal ecosystem in which these entities operate is crucial.
